Race Information
"There's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses". -Elwood Blues
Do you LOVE the movie The Blues Brothers? Or, maybe you've never heard of it and your looking for something fun...Either way, join us for up to eleven weeks of great swag, great milestones, and a whole lotta fun.
Jake's out of prison and the "penguin" needs five grand to save the Blessed Shroud Orphanage. The boys had eleven days to raise the funds (legally) and it's now your chance to join them on their quest.
Hit all the hotspots as you run the 106 miles from the Palace Hotel on Lake Wazzapamani to the Cook County Tax Assessors office. You'll have up to 11 weeks (one week for each day, because running/walking 106 miles in 11 days would be a lot) to make it through the entire distance. Log your miles and pass all the milestones from the movie along the way.
You'll hit milestones along the way, like the Blessed Shroud Orphanage, Rev. Cleophus James' church, Ray's Music Store, Bob's Country Bunker, and a bunch more. Different Challenges as you progress through the entire list.
A big challenge, and lots of craziness needs great swag...we've got you covered! Registration includes: Collectible Milestone Tokens, Goodr Sunglasses, Finisher Medal, Customized Digital Bib, Race Shirt, and a chance to post up some great shots for Instagram/Facebook!
