Gobble Gobble...It's Turkey Trot time. Just like the name, Get Basted; This will be the "2nd helpings" of our Turkey Trots!
Two weeks before Thanksgiving in 2011 we decided that we wanted to give back to all the participants who came out to race with us over the course of the year. Thanksgiving morning seemed to be the perfect time, and giving them a FREE race would be the perfect way to say thanks. We're continuing that tradition...If you've crossed under our finish line in any race from Dec. 1, 2018 - Nov. 22, 2019 you've earned yourself a FREE spot in any of the races.
NEW THIS YEAR...THE Get Basted Turkey Trot Race. Everything will be the same...but we're letting you race on Sunday, November 24 in Cumming, GA if you want to.
THAT'S THIS RACE YOU ARE ABOUT TO REGISTER FOR!
If you haven't crossed under our finish line this year...that's OK too...You can still come out and join us...it's just $17.
We have two Event beneficiaries for this year. They will be The Place of Forsyth & The Atlanta Multiple Sclerosis Center.
The Place of Forsyth will be collecting unwrapped gifts on Race Day! Each year, hundreds of parents struggle to make the holidays special for their families! Help bring holiday joy and the spirit of the season to those in need by contributing to the 5th Annual The Place Holiday House. The Place Holiday House is a special place where parents can shop for gifts for their children at no cost. Last year gifts were provided for approximately 2,064 children, ages infant through 18. Items should be unwrapped and in new condition with the exception of good condition bicycles and gaming systems (please no iTunes gift cards or stuffed animals). For information on how you, your family, your work, or your place of worship can get involved, please visit If you have any questions, please contact Naomi at or call 770-887-1098.
MS is something that is close to our hearts here at Five Star NTP, so our other beneficiary will also be ..The MS Center of Atlanta. You can join in by either making a donation, or becoming a fundraiser yourself. Anyone who raises $200 or more will be refunded their entry fee, and anyone who raises $500 or more will also receive a coupon for $25 off any future race event.

It's a fairly flat 5K loop course however it's North Georgia so NOTHING is completely flat. The 5K loop allows you to run with your family or friends for the shorter distances and then you can continue on for more laps. We'll have loads of entertainment along the way, so you won't event realize it's multiple laps. You'll need to finish in 3 hours (we'll keep the clock going till the last finisher comes in, but the police & aid stations will be leaving). That's a 13:45 avg pace for the Half Marathon distance.
