HOW IT WORKS
A charity partner must be an organization or person in need, but they do not have to be a 501c.
Five Star NTP sets up a donation button on the race registration page, so if athletes want to donate they can. We collect those donations but do not take any of that money. We cut you a check after the race closes out (about a week after the race) as long as the 2 requirements are met:
-
You help promote the race within your circle of influence
-
You provide 4-6 volunteers on race day to help with the race.
As the charity partner of the race, you are allowed to have a vendor booth at the race but the ones working that booth do not count as your volunteers...we need volunteers to help specifically with the race (things like a water station, help at athlete check in, etc.)
Five Star NTP promotes your organization as the charity partner on social media and our website and registration page.
On race day, your Volunteers arrive to the athlete check in area 30 minutes before athlete check in starts (for instructions) and stay until the race is over...this depends on the distance of the race.

Information
Please Note:
1. We count on your volunteers' attendance as support for the event to ensure everything runs smoothly on race day. If we don't have confirmation of your volunteers seven (7) days prior to the event date, we'll look into scheduling additional staffing, which is generally paid for out of the collected donations.
2. Depending on the size of the event and the number of volunteers you've commited to, we may also seek additional volunteers. Sometimes we offer awards & prizes to other groups or individuals when they can provide people to come with them. This could include free race entries, gift cards, etc. As a charity Partner you would not be eligible for those awards.
